Architectural Stone Products - Door Surrounds

Go Back: Architectural Stone

Our stone surrounds are authentic English Tudor reproductions. If you do not find the surround you require then call or email and we will discuss creating a new custom surround. Although the links below represent cast stone elements, any of these can be fabricated in limestone as well. We guarantee our surrounds to match our doors if both are purchased together.

All of the cast stone elements listed here can be customized to fit a variety of openings, heights, widths, lengths, colors (4 std), and sizes.

About Tudor Stone Doorways :
Architectural stone elements denote Tudor architecture (and English architecture). Some of the most important of these stone elements are the entrance door surrounds on the exterior. Label moulds, which typically top door surrounds, are also requisite for an authentic Tudor effect. A house design can have a mixture of elements, but correct stone door surrounds will take the design decidedly English. These door surrounds may be rectilinear (as this was the perpedicular period of English architecture) -or- may be a coping that follows the perimeter of the door. Either way, these surrounds tend to be heavy and many times contain carvings in the spandrels. At times the owner's coat of arms would also be integrated into the structure above the doorway. Interior doors and passageways in Tudor structures can also be enhanced with stone door surrounds.
